I felt sadness — or that’s how I would’ve described it at any other time. This time, however, it occurred to me to describe it –as Alan Watts would– as a universal event. That is to say, as a happening of the universe manifested about my organism. You see, this form of speech, “I feel sad,” is quite misleading — it implies that I am the one doing the feeling, which is not true. To do something; you have to initiate momentum (consciously or otherwise.)
Long story short, I just wanted to put it down in that form and stare at it for a while. Nothing to be alarmed about. Thanks for asking anyway.
